Designing hardware from scratch demands absolute rigor. Each component must be validated for its function and regulatory compliance.
Functional Analysis and Feasibility Study
Each project begins with active listening to your needs. Our engineers analyze your specifications: what is the final task? What are the characteristics of the area (gas or dust)? What are the environmental limitations? This feasibility study allows us to define the appropriate protection strategy (explosion-proof, increased safety, internal overpressure, etc.).
Design, manufacturing, and testing
Once the concept is validated, we launch the 3D modeling phase. As a manufacturer, we have control over the entire chain:
· Mechanics: chassis, powertrain, transmission
· Electrical and automation: control cabinets, sensors, programming
· ATEX safety: integration of our patented gas detection systems.
Furthermore, each prototype or special machine is assembled in our workshops and undergoes rigorous performance testing before any commissioning.
ATEX certification, documentation, and support
Finally, the delivery of a custom machine is accompanied by an exhaustive technical file.
As a manufacturer, we assume responsibility for compliance. Therefore, we provide CE marking, component certificates, detailed diagrams, and specific user manuals.

Examples of custom-made ATEX industrial machinery
Our engineering in a specific case: one of our clients needed to use heavy machinery on ground where the maximum pressure could not be exceeded. To address this issue, we completely rethought the equipment's architecture by relocating the heavy batteries to a motorized satellite cart. This custom-built system reduced the ground load while maintaining optimal autonomy and working power in high-risk areas.

Who builds the machines?
CentrExpert handles the entire construction process. From the initial design in our engineering office to the final assembly in our workshops, we are your single point of contact. This allows us to guarantee complete component traceability and maximum responsiveness in case of project modifications.
Do you only work on custom-made projects?
No, our expertise is twofold. We can just as easily start from a standard commercial machine and transform it (ATEX conversion) as we can design a unique prototype (custom creation). The choice depends on the complexity of your needs and whether or not a compatible machine base exists for your constraints.
Do the industrial machines manufactured have ATEC and/or IECEx certification?
This depends on the geography of your project. Our machines are systematically ATEX certified for use in Europe (in accordance with directive 2014/34/EU). If your equipment is intended for export (Asia, Middle East, America), we can design the machine according to the international IECEx standard. We adapt the final certification based on the local regulations in force in the destination country.
